GCSE PE Climbing Trip
On Friday 9th June 34 year 10 GCSE students headed to Blacklands Farm for 3 days of climbing.
It was definitely a very hot couple of days but this didn’t stop the students getting fully involved in abseiling, indoor climbing, belaying, traversing, knot tying and outdoor climbing.
Inside students perfected their skills whilst Outside students put all their skills into action and were climbing up rocks that range from a rating of 3a to 6a+, which is incredible.
The students were also able to experience a bit of down time where they sat around the camp fire, played football and also have a go on the high ropes to put teamwork to the test.
We hope that the students had a great time away and have managed to catch up on their sleep!
The PE department want to thank all the students for the way they conducted themselves throughout the weekend, it was a pleasure to take them away and see them excelling in another area of the AQA specification.
