Parent/Carer Consultations

In line with the recent feedback we've received from parents, we are streamlining our Parent/Carer Consultation process. This year we have changed the process by firstly giving you the opportunity to discuss your child's Academic Progress Review with your child. This will allow you to make an informed decision as to whether or not you would like to book an appointment with your child’s subject teacher. In these virtual 5 minute appointments you can identify any areas of concern regarding your child's subject related academic progress and/or your child’s attitude to learning as well as ask for guidance as to how the child can progress further.

Please use the infographic below to help you make decisions about which teachers to book parents evening appointments with.

The Parent/Carer Consultation events are remote via Edulink One, and are offered once per academic year for Years 7, 8, 10 and 11. They take place over three days during the week that they are calendared.

Year 9 Parent/Carer Consultation will take place over two days for Core subjects (English, Maths and Science) only. All other subjects take part in an Options Fayre, where Parents/Carers and students will be able to come into school and find out more about the specific subject areas that are available in readiness for their Year 10 to Year 11 GCSE journey.

During this academic year (2024-2025) the dates for these events are:

Year Group Consultation Event Date
Year 7 13th to 15th May 2025
Year 8 29th April to 1st May 2025
Year 9 28th and 29th January 2025
Year 10 3rd to 5th December 2024
Year 11 14th to 16th January 2025

How do I make a booking for these events?

All bookings can be made via the ‘Parents Evening’ section of Edulink One. Each appointment will last no longer than five minutes.

Here is a guide on how to book an appointment and a helpful video is also available to watch here, if that is easier and more convenient for you. These guides will also show you how to add a second parent/carer to the appointment, if required.

Should there be more than one appointment slot available to you for a subject, please make sure that you only book one appointment.
