At Robert May's School, we use a range of Educational Apps and Websites to support learning. Below you will find guidance for the use of these Apps and Websites.
ClassCharts:
This is a web or App-based system to allow us to share day to day information with students and parents. ClassCharts is an app that you can download to your phone or use on a desktop. The system will then allow you to check for achievement points, behaviour points, sanctions and Prep in real time so that you can have meaningful discussions with your child about their day to day learning in school.

CPOMS:
CPOMS is the software that the school uses to record any and every safeguarding incident and concern. It enables us as a school to record incidents of harm and abuse. It also enables the school to identify trends and patterns of harm and abuse.
The school use it for;
Reporting any safeguarding issues.
EduLink One:
EduLink One is used to communicate with students and parents, in a similar way to emails, with the added benefit of all your school communications being in one place. We will send your child’s reviews to you via EduLink One and you will be able to report your child’s absence if they are off sick and inform us of any changes to contact details. EduLink One can be accessed via the internet or via an App, allowing access at any time. In the App, you can set notifications so that when we send you communications and reviews you will receive an alert.

EVOLVE:
EVOLVE is an online system used by the school for the planning, approval and management of educational visits, sports fixtures and some extra-curricular activities.
Google Calendar:
Google Calendar is a time-management and scheduling calendar service developed by Google. With Google Calendar, you can quickly schedule meetings and events and get reminders about upcoming activities, so you always know what's next..
The School use it for;
- School calendars
- Department calendars
- Google meet invites (online meetings)
Google Classroom:
Google Classroom is a piece of software that aims to simplify creating, distributing and assessing learning in a paperless way. Teachers can use Google Classroom to send announcements to entire classes, share resources, lesson notes, PowerPoints, diagrams, and other pieces of online learning. Students can use it to access work covered in class in school, at home or on the go.
The school use it for;
- Sending work to students
- Creating individual versions of a presentation for a child
- Mark work using comments function
- Store and organise work for students
Google Drive:
Google Drive is a file management storage option, where staff - and pupils - manage all their electronic files. Such as documents, spreadsheets and presentations. They also use the Google Suite, available on Google Drive, to create documents, presentations and spreadsheets etc.
The School use it for;
- Creating word documents/presentations/excel documents etc.
- Share documents with others
Google Mail:
Gmail is the schools email communication, it enables the school to exchange emails with colleagues, students, and parents, maintaining a formal and organized communication channel.
The school use it for;
- Email communications
SENSO:
SENSO is the application the school uses to monitor pupils on their laptops, whilst their laptops are being used in school. SENSO, as well as monitoring what pupils are doing on their laptops, also has several features that staff use to support learning, such as directly sending links, resources, opinion polls and surveys across.
The school use it for;
- Screen monitoring equipment for laptops.
Teams:
Microsoft Teams is a messaging and video calling app used at school — a workspace for real-time collaboration and communication, meetings, file and app sharing.

- Some external staff meetings
