Robert May’s Geography Quiz Success
On Monday night this week 6 of our students, Zack and William (Year 10), Bailey and Brady (Year 9), and Harry and Fred (Year 8) competed in an inter-schools Geography quiz that was held at Gordon’s School in Woking.
The quiz consisted of 9 difficult rounds of questions lasting 2 hours against student teams from 8 other schools. Despite fierce competition our 2 teams did exceptionally well, with Team 2 (Zack, Brady and Fred) finishing in second place overall, only 4 points behind the evening’s winners, and only narrowly missing out on bringing back the highly coveted ‘Shencyn Hughes’ trophy.
Our second place team did, however, receive a runner’s up prize. It is hoped that Robert May’s will continue this success in the near future with the hope of being considered for an invitation to take part in the Geographical Associations’ World-wise Challenge quiz in London.
Thank you so much to all our students who took part and congratulations on your success.
