Two RMS Year 8 Students raise over £1800 between them for Ukraine!
Harry
You might recall we mentioned that Harry in Year 8 was going to swim the length of the English Channel at Alton Sports Centre.
We reported that: "Between now and Easter, he will swim a total of 22 miles"... That’s a huge 1,416 lengths of the 25m swimming pool!
Harry’s story:
“I've been watching the news recently and have been shocked to see so many Ukranians having to lee their homes to safety and I would like to do my bit to try and help them."
He completed all 22 miles on 4th May and has raised over £1300! Well done Harry (and it’s not too late to donate!).
Mrs Mitchell was delighted to chat to Harry about his recent efforts and to personally congratulate him on his outstanding achievement.

James
The sunflower is Ukraine's national flower.
James in Year 8 planted 200 sunflower seeds in April, so that lots of houses in the village (Hartley Wintney) could grow one in the garden. He has raised over £500 for the Ukraine DEC appeal. Many congratulations to James on such a great initiative.
