War and Peace Talk

Year 9 pupils enjoyed an interactive and informative talk from Army Chaplain, Major Andrew Latifa from the Aldershot Garrison Church as part of their topic on War and Peace.

Pupils compiled a list of questions regarding things that they wanted to know about his life as a Chaplain in the Army, as well as Major Latifa's personal views on religion and war and his experiences of war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Pupils were able to try food from ration packs as well as prepare for a night's sleep outside. The RE Department were incredibly impressed with Year 9's thoughtful questions and excellent behaviour.
