Year 9 and 10 Careers and Insight Day, RAF Odiham

What a fabulous day we have had at RAF Odiham. We took a group of Year 9 and 10s along who are potentially interested in working in the military services when they leave RMS.

A starting salary of over £25,000 at sixteen raised a few eyebrows alongside the variety of different roles that are available in the RAF. There are also numerous opportunities for foreign travel and many stories from our guests about the adventures they have been on.

We were treated to a guided tour of one of the Chinooks and sat inside the helicopter while we were shown the complexities of the vehicle and what it is capable of. After lunch, we were able to talk to various staff on the base before watching the dog handlers go through their paces with the puppies they are training.
