Hampshire Young Pianist Award Final

Robert Mays would like to congratulate Year 11 musician, Ameli, for her superb achievement in the Hampshire Young Pianist Award Final (part of the Young Musician Festival 2025).  

Ameli was overall runner up in the prestigious piano competition held at Peter Symonds College on Tuesday 25th January where she had an unforgettable experience, performing upon the Steinway grand piano, beating other excellent pianists in the competition open to musicians under the age of 16. The competition was adjudicated by Muriel Phillips, former Head of Keyboard at Charterhouse School and ABRSM Examiner/Moderator. The piece that Ameli played was Mendelssohn Fantaisie-Caprise No.2, Scherzo in E minor.
