Year 7 Village Connect Trail
On Monday this week, we took the whole Year 7 cohort on our annual VCT walk around the local area. The route was 3.5 miles long and took in some of North Warnborough, the local countryside and a stretch along the Basingstoke canal past the Castle.
There are many reasons we do this walk. Primarily, the students got out to get some fresh air and exercise alongside seeing the beautiful local countryside but we saw students helping each other out and making sure that everyone got through the course successfully. It was lovely to spend some time out of the classroom with students finding out a bit more about them and what their interests and hobbies are.
The students rose to the challenge on a beautiful day for walking. There was a lovely buzz when we got back to school.
We met a number of local residents who were all so positive about the trip. Thank you to everyone that ensured this ran smoothly.
