The Odiham Educational Charity are delighted to be able to support Robert May’s School in creating a Student Centre, with a donation of £90,000 and an additional £7,000 from the Odiham Consolidated Charities.

The student centre will be a specifically designed space that offers pastoral care as well as physical and emotional wellbeing support.

The charities are the foundation body of Robert May’s School and the Odiham Education Charity appoints five foundation trustees to the academy’s trustee board. The charity has made an annual donation to the school since 1998, which has been most recently used to provide equipment for The Duke of Edinburgh Award expeditions.

The Headteacher, students and Mrs Anna Rigby, Chair of Trustees, RMS, received the cheque from Mrs Jane Pratt MBE, Chair of OEC, Mr John Champion, Chair of OCC and Mr Kevin Lee, Financial Director of OCC and OEC.

Mrs Pratt said: “The Odiham Educational Charity wanted to provide significant, long-term benefit for the students of Robert May’s School, by funding a new Student Centre. We hope the provision will offer wellbeing strategies and support to those who need extra help to manage day-to-day challenges. Positive mental health will help them develop into resilient young adults. We look forward to the opening of the centre in the Autumn Term.”
