Prefects - Change of Guard
This time of year brings mixed emotions for many reasons. Our Year 11 cohort are busy with their examinations and are in a transitional phase between Robert May’s School and their future destinations and at the same time our Year 10 cohort are starting to grow into the shoes and responsibility that comes with being the senior year group.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Year 11 Prefect team, led amazingly by Lydia Jenkins and George Shaw, for their hard work and dedication to the school. They have developed the themes of Wellbeing, Charity and the House structure that run through the School and, thanks to James Thompson, we now have five local charities that are supported through the House system. Other key roles include leading on the reading buddy scheme, supporting clubs and events in school and leading by example with our volunteering program.
It has been great to see them develop their character values throughout the year and we thank them for their time and effort as well as being great role models for the students at Robert May’s School.
The baton now passes to the new team currently in Year 10:
They have big shoes to fill but I am confident that they will continue to develop the key areas as well as make their mark over the year. Congratulations to Heidi and Spencer who will lead the team this year.
