Arete Music Competition

Robert May's School joined with Gordons School and Woking High School for a Solo Music Competition at Woking High School.  Our pupils performed in 8 categories: Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Piano, Guitar, KS3 Voice and KS4 Voice. 

Robert May's School won two of the categories with Ben and Seth taking the top spot in the Percussion category and the String category respectively.

There was also an overall winner plus two runners up and Ben was named as one of the runners up in the whole competition. All of our pupils did an amazing job and the adjudicator gave them fantastic feedback and comments.

It was a magical evening of music with 24 performances ranging from Musical Theatre to Jazz and Indie Music to Classical Greats. Thank you to Seth, Emma, Luke, Ben, Ameli, Iona, Caitlin and Olly for taking part. We are so proud of you all.
