Book group visit the Odiham Heritage Exhibition
On Thursday, the RMS Book Group was invited to visit the Odiham Society exhibition on 'The legacy of Robert May' at the Parish Rooms in the Bury.
This was a fascinating chance to hear about the work of 17th century Mercer & Philanthropist; Robert May, and how the school was founded and funded. We also had the opportunity to find out about different pupils who had attended the school throughout the years. Robert May's philosophy of supporting poor children to access education in order to learn skills for industry was inspiring and this legacy is still just as important today.
The students were engaged throughout the visit and particularly fascinated in looking for family members in the old Year group photos on display.

You can visit the exhibition until early April, 2-4 pm each Monday* and 10-12 noon each Saturday*.
